GE Profile Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
Like the name suggests, the GE Profile series targets those who want to incorporate cutting-edge technology into their kitchen. This fridge is loaded with them, from an in-the-door Keurig K-cup coffee maker to a clever water dispenser. But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. The refrigerator is expensive, so I expected better.
Aside from that blip the fridge is a fantastic choice. It comes with a huge freezer compartment, which is quite uncommon in counter-depth French door refrigerators. Furthermore, it can hold a decent amount of frozen food when in comparison to similar models.
Inside the fridge, there are 17 shelves and compartments. The fridge compartment is 18.5 cubic feet, which is standard for a fridge with a French door at this price. It comes with a decent size refrigerator with an ice maker in the left door. However it's not the biggest one I've seen.
You can adjust the shelves in both compartments to create a customized storage arrangement for whatever you have to store. The interior design of the GE PYE22PYNFS also looks attractive. The LED lighting adds a nice touch. The storage bins in the door include a third shelf that can be folded down to store large items. The drawers have temperature controls, so you can set them for Meat, Beverage or Deli settings. The drawers are simple to open and close, but I found the textured plastic coatings to be a bit rough on my fingers.
The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator comes with all the features you'd expect from a refrigerator within this price range. It has Wi-Fi, app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app is compatible with iOS and Android devices and allows you to control your refrigerator from anywhere across the globe. It also offers a lot of customization options. It will also send notifications when the door is unlocked and when the fridge or freezer must be defrosted and when the filter requires a change.
It would be nice if GE PYE22PYNFS had Precise Fill, an option available in a handful of other GE fridges that allow you to preset how many cups of water you'd like to disperse at once. The fridge shows a countdown to display how much water remains but it's not as useful as Precise fill.
Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
The Bosch French-door Refrigerator is a stunning piece of equipment. It's designed to appear like it's a seamless part of your kitchen. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also comes with a veggie compartment to keep vegetables and fruits fresher for longer, and two compressors for maximum food preservation. The ice maker is one of the most efficient we've ever tested, and it produces a pyramid-shaped form of ice with a low use of water. This fridge is the perfect choice for single household or kitchenettes who want an integrated look and top-of-the-line food preservation.
This refrigerator was rated as the top in our Refrigerators Test for a variety of reasons. The freezer temperatures remained steady at just a few degrees Fahrenheit, and never moving more than a fraction one degree. This is crucial to avoiding freezing burn. The fridge's fridge section also performed well, achieving the desired temperature for initial set within an hour and keeping that temperature steady over the course of our tests.
Bosch is a household name for its top-quality appliances. Therefore, it's not a surprise that the Bosch counter depth refrigerator can be connected to your home Wi Fi and Bosch's platform Home Connect. This app lets you monitor and control your fridge from your smartphone or tablet. The fridge is a bit expensive, but it comes with excellent features and functionality for the cost.
It's important to understand the limitations of the fridge. It has a limited shelf space, which means you may need to be creative when storing tall items. The shelves are also not resistant to spills and are easily stained or damaged by sharp objects. LG Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
The LG LRFLC2706S is an excellent counter-depth refrigerator that packs a lot of storage space into a compact frame. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. The fridge features a standard French door design, and two rows of spill-capture shelving and a set crisper drawers. The top shelf on the right side can be folded in order to create more space for tall items. There's also a full-width drawer for products from the deli and an inside water dispenser.
One of the nice aspects of this refrigerator is that the ice maker is in the freezer, making it easy to move ice into the fridge for use when required. The freezer also comes with innovative design features like sliding drawers that allow you to organize your items. It also comes with a large bin that can hold plenty of frozen food items as well as an storage bin for ice.
Another awesome feature of this refrigerator is its Smart InstaView panel. You can manage the temperature, lighting, and other aspects of your fridge using your smartphone. It's a simple method to keep track of your fridge and manage it, especially when you're not at home.
But while the Smart InstaView is a neat feature, it doesn't necessarily add to the overall performance of the refrigerator. In fact, it took longer to defrost and chill food in this refrigerator than some of the others we tested. This is likely due to the greater capacity.
The doors pose a problem with this refrigerator. The sunken handles allow smaller people to open them from the bottom. However, taller people still have a difficult time closing them without slamming them. It would have been more effective if they had handles mounted on the front.
The LG Counter-Depth MAX is a ideal option for those looking to combine the advantages of a French-door refrigerator's aesthetics with a more efficient layout. Its capacity is higher than average for a counter-depth model, and it cools evenly and has a great layout. It's also a bit cheaper than the most expensive counter depth refrigerator that comes with an icemaker, which makes it a desirable choice.
Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
If you're looking for a French door fridge that doesn't cost you a fortune and isn't expensive, this Frigidaire is a good choice. It's a basic design that isn't as visually striking as some of the competition, but it has enough features that make it a great choice. Its most important feature, the adjustable temperature drawer helps to keep food items such as meat and vegetables fresher for longer. It also has a large water dispenser and a decent Ice machine that is fast.
The "Chill Drawer", which is located over the two crisper bins, is another excellent feature. This drawer lets you redirect part of the fridge's cooling power directly to this area, so you can store foods that require extra attention. You can alter this feature by using the slider located on the on the outside of the drawer. It is also possible to use this to adjust the general cooling settings for the entire fridge, though I've found that adjusting the generic settings tends to be more effective than specific ones.
During my tests, the temperature of the refrigerator were fairly consistent across all areas of the fridge. The temperatures in the top, bottom and middle of the refrigerator did not differ much from 38 degrees. That's a good performance, but it doesn't quite be among the top in our rankings.
This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. This fridge can be paired with a smart thermostat in order to get more accurate readings on the internal temperature of your fridge.
The exterior of the Frigidaire is made from grey-bodied stainless with a "smudge proof" finish. It does an excellent job of preventing streaks and fingerprints from appearing even when compared with shiny stainless steel finishes on other appliances I've tested.
